Connecting via USB Cable

  1. How do I connect to SoniqSync using a USB cable?

All you need to do is connect the USB cable from your player to the PC.

  2. I see non-music files on my Aireo when connected via USB; can I delete those files?

Some non-music files are stored on your Aireo during manufacturing (for example, the SoniqSync installation files and Aireo documentation file). You can see them when connected to Aireo via USB. Do not delete these files. They are required for reinstalling SoniqSync and for installing SoniqSync on other computers. Some files are required for the proper operation of Aireo. Aireo may fail to perform properly if they are deleted.

  3. Help, I deleted some of the files mentioned in the previous FAQ! How do I install SoniqSync now?

If you delete the SoniqSync installation files from your Aireo then you will not be able to install SoniqSync on a computer from the Aireo according to the normal installation instructions. You can visit our website at www.soniqcast.com to install the SoniqSync application.

  4. Why does my Aireo show up under Windows Explores with only part of my Aireo's name when connected via USB?

After initial installation, your Aireo will show up under Windows Explorer as a drive with its own drive letter and drive name when connected via USB. The drive name will be the name you given your Aireo during installation. However, since Windows does not allow drive names to be longer than 11 characters only the first 11 characters of your Aireo's name will be displayed.
